Seeing a doctor or healthcare provider on Maple

Here's a step-by-step guide of the consultation request process on Maple.

Looking to request a general practitioner consultation as a Maple subscriber? Please see our How do I see the General Practitioner with my Maple membership? article.

To request a consultation, login to your Maple account at https://app.getmaple.ca/login and click the Get Care button.

  1. Follow the prompts to:

    1. Confirm your location.

    2. Select the patient this visit is for — either yourself or a family member.

    3. Select the type of healthcare provider.

  2. Select your appointment type:

    1. Choosing As soon as possible will match you with the next available doctor.

    2. Choosing Book appointment allows you to select a time that works for your schedule.

Making an As Soon As Possible Request

  1. On the Details page:

    1. Describe your symptoms by selecting them from the list.

    2. If you need a doctor’s note or prescription, please check off the applicable box.

    3. The “What details can you tell us” field must be filled out to proceed. Please include the names of prescriptions or medications you need and explain what you’d like to discuss with the provider.

  2. Click Continue.

  3. Choose a payment option and click Continue.

You’ll advance to our virtual waiting room. Our providers will review your request and message you soon. You can add any additional medical records or files here while you're waiting — or close the browser or app, and we'll notify you as soon as the practitioner starts your visit.

Booking an Appointment

  1. Select the location you will be in at the time of your appointment.

  2. On the Details page, select the service type.

  3. Select a provider by choosing either No preference or the name of a provider.

  4. Select a date and time for your appointment.

  5. Complete the Appointment details page:

    1. If you need a doctor’s note or prescription, please check off the applicable box.

    2. The “What details can you tell us” field must be filled out to proceed. Please include the names of prescriptions or medications you need and explain what you’d like to discuss with the provider.

    3. Click Continue.

  6. Review the booking details and mark that you have read and agree to the Cancellation Policy.

  7. Select a payment method and click Confirm appointment.

You will see a confirmation page that your appointment has been booked. At the time of your appointment, you will receive a notification with a link to join the consultation, or log on to your Maple account and click on the consultation.
