Maple consultation types: Text, audio, and video options

Choose how you connect with your practitioner — whatever works best for you.

When you book a visit on Maple, you'll connect with your practitioner through text, audio, or video. Everything happens right on our secure platform — no need for apps like Skype or Zoom.

How it works

Every visit starts with a text chat. You'll get a notification when your practitioner messages you, and you can respond right away.

From there, your practitioner can start an audio or video call. This might happen when:

  • They need to look at what's going on or talk about your case in more detail

  • Your visit is covered by your provincial health plan (these may require audio or video)

  • You'd prefer to speak with them directly

If your practitioner starts an audio call, they'll use the phone number on your account.

Why we offer options

Text, audio, and video give you flexibility to communicate in the way that works best for your situation. Whether you're messaging between meetings or hopping on a video call from home, you're covered.
