What is a Second Medical Opinion?

A Second Medical Opinion is a review of your medical case by a specialist. It can help you understand your diagnosis better or explore different treatment options. This service is available through MediOrbis via Maple for certain complex medical conditions.

Who can use this service?

You may be eligible if you meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Received a diagnosis in the last 6 months

  2. Have your care plan from your doctor

  3. Completed all required tests

  4. Have copies of your test results and medical records

How it works

  1. Schedule an appointment with a coordinator through Maple (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM EST)

  2. They'll check if you're eligible for the service

  3. If eligible, they'll guide you on setting up an account with MediOrbis, any further care on this matter will be done through MediOrbis

  4. A specialist will review your case and provide their opinion through MediOrbis

Appointments must be scheduled. There is no on-demand option.
