Maple's guest video feature lets you invite up to two people to join your video call with a practitioner. This can be helpful if you'd like a family member or caregiver to be part of your visit. It's designed to support you while keeping your information private and secure.
How to invite a guest
During your video call, look for the Manage Guest option.
Enter your guest's email address.
You can create a 4-digit PIN for added security (optional).
Click Send invitation.
How your guest can join
Your guest will get an email invitation to join the call.
They'll click Join consultation in the email.
They will need to enter their name and the PIN, if you created one.
They'll wait for you or the practitioner to approve their request to join.
A few things to know
This feature is only for unscheduled practitioner visits, not pre-booked appointments.
Guests can only join the video call—they can't see any other information about your visit.
You can remove a guest from the call at any time.
Troubleshooting
If your guest doesn't get the email, ask them to check their spam folder.
If a guest has trouble joining, you can resend the invitation or provide a new one.
Make sure your guest is using the most recent invitation if you've sent multiple.
If there are connection issues, try using a different device or internet connection.
