The length of your visit may vary based on the type of visit you request:

  • On-demand visits (as soon as possible) will vary in length based on specialty and service type. For example, a general practitioner visit will typically last 10 minutes. A mental health visit will typically be 50 minutes.

  • Scheduled appointments are typically booked in 10-minute time slots for general practitioner appointments. Specialty appointments, such as mental health visits, will state the appointment length at the time of booking.

Staying responsive during your visit

To make the most of your visit, stay engaged with your practitioner from the start.

Here's what to keep in mind:

  • If you need to step away for any reason, such as collecting supporting documents for your visit, let your practitioner know and confirm they can wait for you within the timeframe you communicated.

  • If you become unresponsive for 10 minutes or more without notice, your practitioner may need to end the visit so they can help other patients who are waiting. Kindly note that if payment is required, you may still be charged for the visit.

  • We encourage you to adjust your notification settings so you receive updates when there's progress on your visit request. See our adjusting email and text notifications resource here.
