Requesting a specific practitioner

Connect with the next available doctor or nurse practitioner, or book ahead when available.

The General Practitioner service is primarily on-demand, meaning you're connected with the next available doctor or nurse practitioner and can't choose a specific practitioner for these visits. However, when appointment booking is available, you may have the option to select a specific practitioner.

On-demand General Practitioner visits

For most General Practitioner visits, you're automatically paired with the next available doctor or nurse practitioner. Any practitioner you're paired with can see your past visit records on Maple and any medical records you've created, so they can help and follow up on previous issues.

To request a new visit with a General Practitioner:

  1. Log in to your Maple account.

    1. Click here if you're on a desktop if you're on a desktop

    2. Click here if you're on a mobile device

  2. Click Get Care

  3. Select the General Practitioner specialty

Scheduling a visit with a specific practitioner

If you'd prefer to see a specific practitioner, you may have the option to do so:

  1. Select General Practitioner or your desired specialty

  2. Choose Book Appointment instead of the on-demand option

If you don't see this option, the visit type may not be bookable ahead of time and is only available on demand. Please note that practitioner availability may vary.

For some specialty healthcare options, there's a scheduled appointment option that allows you to select a specific practitioner. To learn more about available specialties, visit our providers page here.
