Consultation response times

More information on how long you may wait to get a response from our healthcare providers for your request

When you submit an on-demand request to consult with a healthcare provider, we’ll display the typical response time you expect on the waiting room screen. The displayed response time is an average. Your actual response time may vary based on your location, time of day, request volume and the type of healthcare provider you’re requesting to speak with.

If virtual care is appropriate for your needs or concerns, you’ll be notified right when a provider accepts your request. You must respond to their first message within 10 minutes. If the provider doesn’t hear from you within that time, the consultation will be marked as a no-show and will be closed. For more information on our No Show policy, please review this article.

If the wait exceeds your expectations and you’d like to cancel your request, you can select Cancel Request.
