Coverage plan sharing

Dependents over 18 can create their own Maple account while using your coverage

To understand the methods available for sharing coverage depending on your plan, see our Ways to share coverage on Maple, available here.

Maple partners with many employers and benefits providers to offer fully covered visits or reduced pricing. Because insurance policies vary widely, it's best to reach out to your employer directly if you're unsure what coverage extends to your dependents or family members.

For most plans, dependents 18 and older can create their own Maple account using the plan sharing feature.

Invite a family member using the plan sharing feature

  1. Go to Settings > Coverage information.

  2. Click Share coverage.

  3. Enter your family member's email address and submit.

Your family member will receive an invitation to create a Maple account. Once they accept, you'll see their full name, the date and time they connected their coverage, and the option to disconnect them.

Before an invitation is accepted, it can be cancelled or resent. Once accepted, coverage can be deactivated at any time.

Resending a coverage invitation

If you've previously shared coverage with a family member and want to re-add them, revoke their coverage first, then send a new invitation.

You can revoke coverage under Settings > Coverage information.
