I'm a current Beyond ADHD patient — what's changing as we move to Maple?

A guide for existing Beyond ADHD patients moving to the Maple platform

This article is for patients who were receiving Beyond ADHD care before the move to Maple. It covers what's changing, what's staying the same, and the steps to take so your care continues without interruption.

What's staying the same:

  • Your practitioner. You'll keep seeing the same nurse practitioner. They're moving to Maple too, so your care continues without a hitch.

  • The program itself. Beyond ADHD is still the same three-step model — Assessment, Diagnosis & Treatment, and Follow-up Care — delivered by the same clinicians. Only the platform changes.

  • Your treatment plan. It carries over exactly as it is.

  • Pricing. Visit pricing is not changing, the move to Maple does not add any cost.

  • Insurance coverage. Your policy determines your coverage, not the platform, so nothing changes there. You'll keep getting an invoice to submit for reimbursement.

  • Your medical records. They stay accessible only to your care team, before and after the move.

What's changing:

  • How you schedule and access your appointments. You’re able to schedule and reschedule your own visits from within the Maple app! Appointments will also happen within the Maple app, with video calls started by the provider from within the virtual consultation room

  • Automatic appointment reminders. You will receive email and SMS reminder notifications leading up to the visit to ensure you complete your pre-visit intake on time

  • Access to pre-appointment assessments. Any required assessments, questionnaires, or supporting statements will be automatically available to you in your in-app program hub when you book each appointment, rather than being sent to you by email.

  • How you receive prescriptions and choose your pharmacy. Prescriptions will also be ordered through the Maple app. You will complete the stimulant treatment contract in-app before selecting the pharmacy for your prescription to be faxed to.

  • Access to your records created on Maple. You will be able to access your medical history (e.g. past consults, prescriptions, referrals, etc.) through your Maple account

  • Payment and invoices. Your payment methods are managed in Maple, in the Billing section of your account Settings.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to switch over, or can I stay with the current system?

As part of Beyond ADHD joining Maple, care is transitioning to the Maple platform, so it won't be possible to continue receiving care through Beyond ADHD and Cliniko. If you'd prefer not to move your care, you can choose to opt out of the process. You can also contact [email protected] to request a copy of your medical records.

If you decide to continue your ADHD care with Maple at a later date, we'd be happy to welcome you back. Please note that because your records wouldn't have been migrated automatically, you'd need to upload them yourself so your care team has the information they need to support your treatment.

Will appointment pricing stay the same?

Yes. Pricing is not changing: ADHD Assessment is $279, Diagnosis and Treatment is $179, and Follow-Up Care is $99 (Maple members receive a $40 discount on Follow-Up Care visits). The move to Maple does not add any cost.

Will I keep seeing the same practitioner?

Yes. Continuity of care is a priority — your nurse practitioner is moving to Maple too, and will have access to your medical record so care continues without interruption.

Is the program itself changing?

No. The Beyond ADHD program is still the same three-step clinical model: Assessment, Diagnosis & Treatment, and Follow-Up Care, delivered by the same clinicians. What's changing is the platform it's delivered on, however your practitioner and your current treatment plan will stay the same.

How do I continue to access my care? How do I set up my Maple account?

Watch for an email from Maple in the upcoming weeks. If you already have a Maple account, you’ll simply be prompted to sign in to your existing account, otherwise we’ll prompt you to create a password for a new account. All your account details will be automatically synced.

I think I missed my setup email. What should I do?

Please check your spam/junk folders first. If it's still missing, we can resend it — don't create a brand-new, separate Maple account, since that can create a duplicate profile. Our team will help troubleshoot. Visit getmaple.ca/contact-us/ to start a chat with our support team.

Will my records transfer over?

Yes. Your Beyond ADHD records which include your intake forms, your practitioner’s notes, prior diagnosis documentation, and Creyos results transfer to Maple as part of your file, so your care team has what it needs to continue your treatment. These records will continue to only be accessible to your care team.

Will I have to redo any paperwork?

Generally no — any fully completed intake forms carry over to Maple. You may need to re-sign a couple of Maple-specific forms like your stimulant treatment agreement or communications consent in-app; your practitioner or our team will flag anything required.

What happens to the payment for my currently scheduled appointment (that’s not on Maple)?

If you have an upcoming appointment you have already paid for, we will ensure it is migrated to Maple on the exact same date and time. Your payment will also be transferred over, so you will not be billed twice. You will be able to see your upcoming appointment after you complete the account creation or login steps.

Will my Creyos account/results move over?

Creyos results already uploaded to your file are part of your transferred records.

I'm a Medavie / Student VIP member — does anything change for me?

Nothing will change for you. During account set-up or activation, you'll be asked to confirm/add your Medavie Blue Cross (or applicable partner) details if we don't already have them on file. Medavie Blue Cross members will continue to have access to the same pricing: ADHD Assessment is $199, Diagnosis and Treatment is $179, and Follow-Up Care is $79

My child is the patient participating in the Beyond ADHD program — how does this work for account creation?

To be an account holder on Maple, you must be over 18 years of age. As the parent/guardian, you'll create (or sign in to) your own Maple account. Your child’s dependent’s profile will be automatically created, with their record and upcoming visits synced. Guardian permissions carry over the same way.

Will my invoices still be recognized by my insurance if I pre-book my next appointment?

When you book a visit on Maple, you’ll receive a receipt at the time of booking. Since insurers only reimburse for care that has already taken place, wait until after your visit is completed to submit the receipt to your insurer. You can download your official receipt directly from your Maple account anytime by visiting the “Billing” section within “Settings”.

Will my insurance still cover appointments?

Yes. Coverage is determined by your policy, not the platform delivering care, so it is not affected by the move to Maple. Patients should consult their insurer with questions about their specific plan. You will continue to receive an invoice to submit for reimbursement.

Do I need to get a Maple membership to keep access to Beyond ADHD after the move to Maple?

No, you don't need a Maple membership to access the Beyond ADHD program. Anyone can sign up and pay for the program directly on a pay per visit basis, whether or not they're a Maple member.

That said, having a Maple membership does come with a perk: members receive a $40 discount on each Follow-Up Care visit, bringing the price down to $59 instead of $99 per visit.
