The following services are currently available to Nova Scotia residents:

  • General Practitioners

General practitioners are medical doctors who are trained to provide primary healthcare to patients. They are able to help with most non-emergent issues that do not require an in-person assessment or follow-ups. Our doctors can provide medical advice, create a diagnosis, and write prescriptions, medical notes, and lab requisitions.

  • Dermatologists

Dermatologists can treat a wide variety of skin, nail and hair conditions virtually including acne, alopecia, psoriasis, rashes, eczema, nail infections, dermatitis, pigment disorders, shingles and many more.

  • Oncology Navigators

Oncology navigators help patients obtain support in navigating possible cancer treatment options for their specific case and desired approach. Aside from offering an assessment/advice, oncology navigators can also provide a consultation letter - at their discretion - which the patient can take back to their family physician.

  • Lactation Consultants

Lactation consultants can address the following problems: latching difficulties, painful nursing, low or abundant milk production, baby not gaining weight, and pumping concerns. A lactation consultant can also offer guidance on breastfeeding equipment and safe storage of breast milk, help babies with special needs, guide mothers with twins or triplets, and provide emotional support through breastfeeding challenges.

  • Functional Medicine

Functional Medicine doctors focus on the underlying factors that can influence long-term health. They seek to identify and address the root causes of disease, and focus on treating the whole system rather than the symptoms itself. The main goal is to improve the health and wellbeing of the patient and potentially reduce their overall reliance and dependence on the healthcare system.

  • Psychotherapy

Maple therapists can help with many things, including: managing anxiety; exploring depression or low moods; discussing relationship challenges; addressing work stress; helping to navigate life changes; increasing focus, performance and motivation; exploring grief or loss; and more
