We take privacy very seriously here at Maple. Your health information always stays private on Maple, and only you have full ownership and control over it. This means no one else has access to your personal health information, and you get to choose who you want to share it with, including any physicians you see on Maple. We do not exploit patient data for marketing or commercial gain.

If you add any files onto your Maple account, they will be stored in an encrypted and secure location and you will have the option to delete them at any time. If you have a live video or audio consultation with the doctor, none of the footage is recorded or stored in any manner.

We adhere rigorously to privacy and healthcare legislation in Canada, such as PIPEDA and PHIPA regulations. Maple holds SOC 2 Type II compliance and aligns with stringent security standards, including ISO 27001:2013 and NIST Special Publication (SP) 800 series. Our approach is reinforced by consultations with leading experts, guaranteeing robust policy frameworks that are reviewed at a regular cadence.
