If a physician writes you a prescription, there are two steps you will complete:

  1. Accepting the prescription (either during or after your visit).

  2. Selecting a pharmacy to receive the prescription (you can choose to pick it up or have it delivered). This step can only be completed after your visit has ended!

Step 1: Accept the prescription

To accept, simply click the Accept button on the prescription display in the chat room. You will see a pop-up with the prescription details. Click “Agree & accept prescription” to continue.

If the consultation has already been completed, you can still accept the prescription in the consultation summary or on the dashboard of your Maple Account (the page you see when you first log in).

You may need to scroll down or zoom out to view this button. To zoom out, go to View in your browser menu and select Zoom Out (this may vary depending on the browser you are using).

Step 2: Select a pharmacy

Once your consultation with the doctor is complete, you will be prompted to choose a method for getting the prescription — either free delivery or pick up at a local pharmacy.

For pharmacy delivery:

For information on pharmacy delivery, please see our How does the prescription delivery service work? Article.

For pharmacy pickup:

1. Click “Add a pharmacy”.

2. You can search for your preferred pharmacy by name or by location on the map.

3. Select the pharmacy by clicking on the plus sign next to the pharmacy name, or hovering over the location on the map and clicking “Add”.

4. The pharmacy will now appear under Select a pharmacy. Click “Proceed with this pharmacy” to continue.

Your prescription will automatically be faxed to the pharmacy. You will receive an email notification once we get confirmation that the fax has gone through. We recommend calling the pharmacy to ensure your order is ready for pick-up.
